Parks and trails in Tualatin
The City says its parks are open from sunrise to sunset, except for lit areas at Tualatin Community Park, which stay open until 10:30 p.m.
Tualatin Community Park
The City's first park was a grove behind a store on Boones Ferry Road, and it grew into Tualatin Community Park with a gift of land from Harvey Van Raden in 1972. Today it has sports fields, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a skate park, a dog park, four reservable picnic shelters and a boat ramp to the river. The City's page notes the playground is closed for renovation from September 21 until December 2026.
Sweek Pond Natural Area
Sweek Pond is a 4.68-acre natural area at 8700 SW Sweek Drive, next to the Tualatin Heritage Center, with a path for a short walk.
The rest of the system
The City's parks list also includes Atfalati Park, Ibach Park, Jurgens Park, Lafky Park, Little Woodrose Nature Park, Saarinen Wayside Park, Parque Las Casitas and Veterans Plaza. The City's Parks and Trails page also has a map filter for trails, boat ramps, dog parks and playgrounds.
Regional trail
We looked for an official page on the regional Ice Age Tonquin Trail and could not confirm one, so we are not describing it here. Check Metro or the City of Tualatin Parks and Recreation for current trail plans.
